About Middle School Programs

21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) and Juvenile Welfare Board (JWB) provide FREE academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours for middle school age children, particularly students who attend high- poverty and low performing schools. The focus of the program is to help students meet or exceed local and state standards in subjects including reading and math through a broad array of enrichment activities that complement their regular academic programs.
In addition, 21st CCLC programs offer literacy and other educational services to the families of participating children.
