Do you want to make a difference in the life of a child? Then R'Club is the place for you!

R'Club recognizes the importance of volunteers to our programs and the positive impact they have on the R'Club experience. At R'Club, our goal is to support the education and development of children so that they can succeed academically and socially and become responsible, productive adults. The knowledge, background and life experience that our volunteers share with the children and staff is invaluable and assists us in achieving that goal.

R'Club has signed agreements with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Pinellas County, Inc. and Seniors in Service of Tampa Bay (the Foster Grandparent program), to utilize their population of volunteers and mentors to benefit the children we serve. Many corporations provide volunteers to R'Club programs for one-time projects throughout the year. Whether they read to children and prepare snacks, create a garden or replace boards in a fence, volunteers add richness and variety to R'Club programs and help us build strong relationships with members of the business community and with local neighborhoods. Helping children learn the alphabet or develop a love of books and reading through story times are activities that promote school readiness and reading fluency.

We are fortunate to work with volunteers who represent many different sectors in the community. Our volunteers range in age from 16 to well over 80 years young. Some of our volunteers are young people who are in pursuit of service learning hours for scholarships and college entrance or college students who are seeking hours for course requirements or personal growth. We also have parent volunteers, retirees, corporate volunteers, and mentors. Some of our foster grandparents from Seniors in Service of Tampa Bay have been with us since the beginning of our volunteer program!
