R'Club serves exceptional students, from 3 - 22 years of age, with varying exceptionalities including, but not limited to, autism, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, Fragile X Syndrome, and hearing and vision impairments. R'Club serves exceptional students within the schools where R'Club has programs and at Paul B. Stephens and Nina Harris Exceptional Student Education Centers. Both centers are licensed by the Pinellas County License Board.
Our staff is specially trained to meet the needs of all the children in their care, including diapering, tube feeding and dispensing medication when necessary. Staff members work closely with school personnel and parents to provide programs with the developmental needs and abilities of each student in mind.
Children and young people with special needs enjoy R'Club activities such as:
- Field trips
- Structured outdoor fun
- Games, arts and crafts, music and more
- Homework assistance, as needed
Every schedule includes indoor and outdoor activities that assist in large and small muscle development and socialization skills. The personal care and grooming skills and general social and living skills that R'Club is able to help develop in exceptional students helps strengthen their family functioning and enriches the children's lives.
