:: exceptional programs

R'Club serves exceptional students, ages 3 - 22, with varying exceptionalities including, but not limited to, autism, Down's Syndrome, cerebral palsy, Fragile X Syndrome, and hearing and vision impairments. R'Club serves exceptional students within the schools where R'Club has programs and at Paul B. Stephens and Nina Harris Exceptional Student Education Centers. Both centers are licensed by the Pinellas County License Board and have scored 100% on the Statewide Quality Assessment Tool administered by Coordinated Child Care, Inc. every year for the last eleven years. The two centers will be nationally accredited and have the Governor's Gold Seal Award for Quality by 2004.

Our staff is specially trained to meet the needs of all the children in their care, including diapering, tube feeding and dispensing medication when necessary.

Staff members work closely with school personnel and parents to provide programs with the developmental needs and abilities of each student in mind.

Children and young people with special needs enjoy R'Club activities like field trips, structured outdoor fun, games, cooking classes, arts and crafts, music and more. Homework assistance is provided as needed.

Every schedule includes indoor and outdoor activities that assist in large and small muscle development and socialization skills. The personal care and grooming skills and general social and living skills that R'Club is able to help develop in exceptional students helps strengthen their family functioning and enriches the children's lives.
