Get To Know Our Trainers
Penny Eggert, Director of Training, has been with R’Club for over 30 years and is responsible for the coordination of training opportunities for R’Club’s 300+ child care staff. Penny focuses primarily on supervisory and leadership skill building for management staff but also trains all staff on workplace issues. Penny is involved in training child care workers throughout the community and has presented at the Florida After School Alliance Conference and the annual School Age Summer’s Coming Conference in Pinellas County. She holds a BA in Human Development and an AA in Early Childhood Development.
Kathie DiPolito, Training/Wellness Coordinator, has been employed with R’Club since June 1990. Kathie’s responsibilities include providing support and technical assistance to Center Directors and Assistants, training all staff in CPR and 1st Aid, training on Diversity and Safety in the Workplace, and Disaster Preparedness. Kathie also coordinates a Healthy Living and Wellness Series for staff and coordinates R’Club’s annual Wellness Fair. Kathie also has trained extensively in the child care community and is on the Executive Board of Directors for the Florida After School Alliance. She also chairs the annual 21st Century and After School Conference for the state of Florida.
Elaine Bowers, is a Behavior Specialist for R’Club Child Care where she has been employed since 1989. Elaine specializes in a variety of training topics including behavior management, group and classroom management, character education, Positive Behavior Support, peer mediation, and various other topics within the child care field. In addition to training R’Club staff, Elaine has trained at the Florida After School Alliance State Conference, for Pinellas County Safe and Drug Free Schools, and throughout our child care community. Elaine has an Associates of Arts degree.
Marshall Lester, Jr., Training Resource Coordinator has been employed with R’Club since 1996. Marshall welcomes new staff to the agency and provides orientation, training, support and technical assistance to new Child Development Specialists. Marshall also provides training on customer service, preventing sexual harassment in the workplace, and other workplace issues for all agency staff. Marshall is involved in training child care workers throughout the community and has presented at the Florida After School Alliance Conference and the annual School Age Summer’s Coming Conference in Pinellas County. He is a Board member of COQEBS (Concerned Organization for Quality Education of Black Students) and, prior to joining the R’Club team, Marshall worked for Pinellas County schools for 16 years as a Health and Physical Education teacher.
